Le Meurice

Here and there, I've rec'd emails from my readers asking where we normally stay in Paris. I decided to do a post sharing with you the great hotel Le Meurice. Yes, we love the hotel.

Le Meurice is located in the heart of Paris; on Rue de Rivoli, opposite the Tuilleries Garden, between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre museum. Right behind the hotel is the Rue Saint-Honore' where you can find high-end designer boutiques, nice cafes and restaurants. Yes, we love the location. It has a long, rich historical background. And if you want an experience of the truly French art of living, this hotel reflects that. The lobby is small but elegant. There is living art at the entrance: It's a sheet of frozen ice that allows everyone to draw on it. We love the idea and of course our kids enjoy drawing on it every time we come in or out.

Le Dali, the lobby restaurant, is named after the artist Salvador Dali who was a frequent guest. The decorative finishing of Le Dali is glamorous with whimsical furniture. The ceiling is a canvas painting by famous designer Philippe Starck's daughter, Ara Starck.
Talk about the whimsical furniture, this chair is a perfect example. It's also my little girl's favorite chair, she loves its high-heeled three legs.
I am wearing an Ann D top, and enjoyed sitting at our favorite table at the bar; the first table on the left. There is a jazz pianist accompanied by a bass player every night. Fun!
The hallway to the hotel's shop. I wore Zero-Maria Cornejo silk jacket and pants, Christopher Kane for Topshop bodysuit, belt ??
One of the bedrooms.
It always has fresh flowers, fruits, and sweet pastries in your room. You will find no complaints about service here.
There is a second restaurant which is formal, Le Meurice, three Michelin stars. If you book your room overlooking the Tulleries Garden, you will get a panoramic view from which you can see the Eiffel tower.
and the view of the Louvre museum.
And you can see the whole rue de Rivoli.
Thank you everyone for visiting and comments! Wish you a wonderful day!! Hugs...Hanh :)

Diversity

I love this Kimme Winter necklace which I found it at boutique Fortyfiveten. The blue beads, the cross, and the Buddha pendant-these elements make this necklace is interesting. Yes, I thought about giving it a nickname: Diversity, Undecided, Indecision or "Living Buddha, Living Christ" by Thich Nhat Hanh. What would you name it?
I paired it with a vintage ram necklace. Jcrew shirt, Isabel Marant fall 2010 pants.

Here, my first Kimme Winner Buddha necklace was years ago. I noticed that Kimme's necklaces incorporate unusual artifacts and mixes them with a variety of pendants such as: Buddha, cross, charm of Mary, medallions, heart charm..ect...and beads which make her necklaces are different. Miu Miu shoes.

Buckles

I took an opportunity to get 20% off promotion with 10% going to charity, which happened in Dallas last week. I bought couple of pieces from Barneys in Dallas and this is one of the pieces; Dries Van Noten buckles vest. I love how you can play with these buckles to give many different looks. It's fun!
Styling with a Rag & Bone sheer black top underneath a Jcrew shirt. Necklace from boutique Grange Hall. Chanel cross body mini purse.
Giuseppe buckles sandals.
Thank you everyone for visiting and comments! Wish you a wonderful day a head! Hugs...Hanh :)

Kangaroo Sweater

Yes, I gave a nickname to this Tao by CdG sweater, the Kangaroo, because of its front pouch. I've found this sweater to be so much fun and I also love its prints and color. It was also another piece that I found at Barneys in Dallas from the 20% off promotion with 10% going to charity. The toy was a gift for my kids from me. I love her face and her shearling jacket with bear hood..
Rag & Bone sheer top underneath, J Dauphin leather patches pants, Yigal scarf.
My favorite Givenchy boots, Yigal bag.
Kimme Winter necklace.

Le Blob Jewelry

Hi everyone,
I hope you're doing well. It's just a quick post to share with you a jewelry designer; Fernando Akasaka. He is from Sao Paolo, Brazil and his roots is Japanese. He began his career a furniture designer. Later on, he created his jewelry line; Le Blob, in October 2009. His jewelry's work has developed an exclusive range of handmade jewels made of solid .950 sterling silver or .750 gold(18k). I've found his jewelry is very striking, strong, and bold. His inspiration comes from nature: from sea anemones to snake, from coral to talons to bones. Click on his website to see his collection, and here are some:
Cuffs

Rings

Necklaces

His furniture line; F.AKASAKA which it is modern, contemporary. It has featured in many magazine as Vogue, Casa Luxo, Casa Vogue..ect...I describe his furniture is sculptural, functional art, handcrafted quality of the finished product. He said "My client is eclectic, and always looking for something new, original and unique." I told him that I would love to have his furniture piece in my house someday. Please, check out his furniture website to see his incredible work.
