It's time yet again for another Passports with Purpose fundraiser.
The brainchild of four Seattle travel bloggers – Pam Mandel (Nerd's Eye View), Beth Whitman (Wanderlust and Lipstick ), Michelle Duffy (WanderMom), and Debbie Dubrow (Delicious Baby) – it's the perfect way to gather together the travel blogging community and give something back to the amazing world that we all spend so much time traveling around.
In a nutshell, it works because travel bloggers are a generous lot who have the connections and the creativity to not only round up great prizes but also get the word out.
Last year, Passports with Purpose raised over $30000 which went towards building a school in Cambodia.
This year, the goal is $50000 to to build houses for 25 Dalit families in Tamil Nadu, India.
In other words, to build a village.
To learn more, listen to Sean Keener from Bootsnall.com who have come on board as platinum sponsors to Passports with Purpose.
So, are you in?
Here's what you do. Head on over to the Passport with Purpose site and pick out prizes that interest you. Then buy tickets ($10 each) for that prize.
It's that simple.
You donate and also get a chance to win great travel prizes such as books, cameras, travel gear, and accommodation and travel packages.
I've just been on site and done just that.
Why not join me?
This great fundraising exercise doesn't finish until Dec 15th, so there is still time to join the Travel bloggers community and donate.
