The stadium is located in Bronx N.Y. and is well known for its legendary player like Reggie "mr October" jackson and George Herman "Babe" Ruth. It was the first ball park to actually be called a stadium rather than a Park, Grounds or field and have had some of the greatest teams in baseball. Even today NYC has one of he best teams in the U.S.A. As the batter try for the homer over monster green. A 32 foot left field wall the roar of the crowd And the aroma of hotdogs makes me proud to be a new yorker.

Lady liberty shines her guiding light

When you hear the word New York City one place that may come to mind is the statue of liberty. Built in New York harbor during june of 1885 it was a gift shipped from france in pre frabricated pieces a year earlier in July of 1884. Her mint green oxidize copper frame stand holding her touch high above her head with her right hand. In her left hand held close to her is a tablet inscribed July 4 1776 symbolizing the independence of america. She was the first thing hundreds of thousands of people seen entering into the land of the free and as like back then it still continue to be a symbol of independence and a major N.Y.C attraction

    Brooklyn bridge a N.Y.C icon

With construction starting in 1869 it was one of the first suspension bridges ever built. It was also the longest at that time. It's towers were the tallest man made object in the western world when it was built. Twenty seven men gave their lives building this long lasting icon. The Brooklyn bridge played and still plays a major part in the immense growth by connecting the city. Today the bridge has became a major tourist attraction for New York City. As people stand on the bridge looking down the east river or watching as the train go across and even taking curiousity in the many joggers, bikers, and cars thet cross the bridge every day reminds me of why i love the big apple.

    The Empire State

The Empire State building was the tallest in the world when it was finished in 1931. Located on 34th street between 5th and 6th avenue in midtown Manhattan it was the first building with over one hundred floors.Since the day of it's opening to the present time it remains one of N.Y.C's major places that tourist visit. The empire state building is not just a new York city icon but an American one. It's world famous for such thing as the king kong movies and it's magnificent three story lobby. With it's beautiful daily light show it illuminate the New York City skyline. The empire state building is currently the tallest building in the city. The empire state is also host to every major tristate radio and TV broadcasting company. Companies such as CBS, NBC, ABC, WQHT, WCBS and others uses it massive antenna for it's transmissions it was also originally part of a plan for accommodating airships. If your ever in the big apple be sure to visit it's observation deck. Perfect for sight seeing it has a marvelous view of the city and plus a great eatery, souvenir shop and other great features.

    Broadway NYC's theatre district.

If you ever travel to New york city then broadway's theatre district is a must to have on your tour list. Home of countless stage plays and musicals it's shows are well known. Most of broadway show go on to be put on the silver screen and made into television shows. Many famous actors and actresses got the big brake here. NYC's broadway thearte district is undisputibly the mecca for plays and musicals in the united states. It is located around the time square part of midtown manhatten which in it's self is a tourist attration. Here are just a few great shows currently playing ( Chicoago, The odd couple, Mamma mia!, The color purple, The lion king, Rent, Hairspray,) and many, many more plays and musical. Remember before it was ever light camera action , its was brake a leg on broadway. So when thinking about where you should travel for a vacation make sure New York City's on that list.

    Rockefeller Center

Rockefeller center is another great site to tour if you ever travel to N.Y.C. Named after John D. Rockefeller it consist of sixteen commercial building going from 48th to 51st street. Its located in the midtown section of Manhattan. Rockefeller center is also home of NBC's rainbow room, Life & time building and news corporations like fox. You can actually walk up the street and watch as the news is done live as you pass by the huge windows of the art deco styled buildings. My favorite time of the year to visit Rockefeller center is during the Christmas season when people from all over the world converge on this on place to see the biggest Christmas tree erected in America. Ice skating at the center is also an unforgettable part or the new York city experience. Rockefeller center is also home of the largest in door theatre Radio City Music Hall where you can catch the rockettes performing there rockettes on ice show every Christmas season. There are marvelous statues that many tourist have been immortalizing through photos since they where placed on there foundation. There is the statue of atlas bearing the weight of the world on its shoulders and the most famous one that may be found on many of postcards. The golden statue of Prometheus which is located at the top center of the skating rink. So if you ever travel to New York City put this one on your tour list.

    South Street Seaport

South street seaport started out it's long history as a vital part of NYC water way's and commercial trade center as early as 1600. South street seaport is known for various mob films and other movies and once home of the famous Fulton fish market. Today south street seaports historical area has been totally restored and renovated. The seaport is a great place for sight seeing and has a beautiful view of the Brooklyn, Manhattan and williamburg bridges and the east river. The area is know home to many restaurants, bars and gift shops. One lasting tourist attraction is the restaurant on pier 17 where you can look at the gorgeous yachts docked right in front. It's been there for decades. The south street seaport is located next to wall street and the financial district which is located in the lower Manhattan region of New York City. This part of Manhattan still has that 17th and 18th century fill with it's cobble stone streets and some of he old building.

    Brooklyn's Botanical Garden

Located in Brooklyn N.Y. the botanical garden is set on fifty-two acres of land that edges the outer parameter of prospect park. It is also rite across from brooklyns grand army plaza. The botanical garden has been around seen 1910 and is host to thousands of species of plants, flowers, trees, and other vegetation. This is a great sight to tour, it quiet calm and peaceful. Here you can enjoy sightseeing with out the hustle and bustle of the city. Included in the garden is it's famous one acre rose garden. It also has many individual conservatories, a pond garden and Japanese hills. Its rock garden is simply marvelous and it also has a fragrant garden for the vision impaired. There's a great bonsia tree collection and a children's exhibition and many other events. One of my favorite spots to visit will in the BBG is the Shakespeare garden. With it's English cottage that has over 80 various plants mentioned in his plays and poems you will be occupied for hours reading the labels which has references to his quotes. If you visit the Japanese part, you will enjoy the carp as they swim and frolic in the pond garden and the sound of the beautiful waterfall. This part also has a beautiful wooden bridge and a small Shinto temple. That part is perfect for sight seeing. Before i go if you do decide to travel down here be sure to tour the cherry tree part of the garden. There are over two hundred cherry trees and 42 different varieties. This is definitely a great tour site so check it out!.

    Grand Central Station

Breath taking with it's artful and magnificent dimensions it's almost hard to believe when standing from the streets that Grand Central Station is one of the largest and busiest transportation systems in New York City. When in the main concourse of the station you get the feeling of being in some marvelous museum or maybe a huge opera house. One thing one must do if ever touring the station is get photos of it's astonishing ceiling. Painted by Paul Cesar helleu in 1912 it depicts constellations that are in reverse and based on medieval celestial information. Grand Central Station is also home to the world famous oyster bar, where the rich and famous gathered for drinks and cigars. It is also the stations oldest business. It was established in 1913. Another favorite spot is the campbell apartment, though there drink prices are kinda stiff the quality is superb. The station also has numerous other restaurants, gift shops, and other establishments. It is estimated that well over a half million people pass through Grand Central Station every single day. That's more people then the population of many big American cities. The reason for this is because it connects NYC to the whole tri-state area. Thousands of trains come and go on it's three underground levels. The station has numerous ramps, elevators, and stairways all designed to move people carelessly and effortlessly through this labyrinth of a station while blending in to the marvelous scheme of the scenery. My favorite part of Grand Central Station by far is the magnificent marble staircases in the main concourse. So if you ever tour New York City make sure to put this one on the sight seeing list

    Grant's Tomb

One of New York City's most praised and honored places and also a sight that don't often come to mind when thinking about traveling to tour the big apple is the civil war's U.S. union general and 18th president Ulysses S. Grant tomb site. Designed by John Duncan it's located inside Riverside Park which is right next to 122nd street and the intersection of Riverside Drive. The marble and granite memorial was finished in 1897 and was the biggest mausoleum in the U.S. at that time. It was designed after Mausolus Halicarnassus tomb which is one of the seven wonders of the world. The Grant tomb is not only a national landmark. It is a big part of new York city and the rest of this country's history. The memorial is controlled and maintained by the National Park Services and has undergone a 1.8 million dollar resoration in April 0f 97. Other interesting facts about the tomb are that it hold the remains of Grants wife Julia Dent Grant. His funeral parade had a seven mile long stretch with over a million people attending. Not only is the tomb a great sightseeing stop, the park and the view of the Hudson river makes this site a great attraction and a definite add-on for the tour list.

Since opening in 1982 the big war ship has been a unique part of new York City and was designated as an historical and national landmark in 1987. If you ever do travel to NYC be sure to add this one to your tour list.

    Madam Tussauds wax museum NYC

Internationally known with locations also in Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, And Las Vegas. The museum is the namesake of a 17th century French housekeeper who became skilled and gained prestige in wax molding under the teachings of the physician Dr. Philippe curtius, whom she had worked for for many years. Madame Tussaud's New York City museum is located on 42nd St right off of 8th Ave and offers a great panoramic view of time square. The museum is one of the city's major tourist attraction and it's also known for attracting the famous to see there own likeness.
